A Sister's Hope

Directed by Michael Marantz · 2019

Activist Jamira Burley turns personal tragedy into a drive to reshape her community and challenge the status quo.

A beautifully shot portrait of a woman who refused to become a statistic and chose to change her world.

Jamira Burley should be another product of the system. Instead, she has used the tragedies of her life to reshape her community, and disrupt the status quo.
