A Year Along the Geostationary Orbit

Directed by Felix Dierich · 2018

A full year of Earth seen through the unblinking eye of the weather satellite Himawari-8: clouds, storms, wildfires and an eclipse sweep across the planet in one hypnotic stream.

A mesmerising, meditative view of our whole planet breathing through a year, built from real satellite data.

A year through the distant eyes of meteorological satellite Himawari-8 – a hypnotic stream of Earth's beauty, fragility and disasters.
