Boomtown

Directed by Bill Plympton · Starring Ruth Maleczech, Valeria Vasilevski · 1985

The Android Sisters sing through a Reagan-era breakdown of how soaring U.S. defense spending reshapes everyday American life, set to Bill Plympton's early hand-drawn animation.

One of Bill Plympton's very first films, a sharp musical satire of Cold War economics.

It's time for another Bill Plympton "Lost Classic" animated short.
