Burqa City
Directed by Fabrice Bracq · Starring Omar Mebrouk, Chadia Amajod, Jalal Altawil, Noman Hosni · 2019
In a city ruled by strict Sharia law, Souleymane realises he has walked off with the wrong woman beneath a burqa, and sets out on an absurd hunt for his wife.
A heavily awarded absurdist satire that skewers a world where women are made invisible, with deadpan comic precision.
