Citius, Altius, Fortius

Directed by Felix Deimann · 2016

The movements of famous Olympians, traced from archival competition footage, are rebuilt frame by frame as abstract 3D forms, with each sport finding its own visual language of pure motion.

A hypnotic abstract animation that distils Olympic feats into pure shape, rhythm and motion.

My thesis, the experimental animation „Citius, Altius, Fortius“ (Latin for „Faster, Higher, Stronger“- the Olympic motto) explores the interplay of abstract shapes and motions.
