Dog Altogether
From the director of Tyrannosaur
Directed by Paddy Considine · Starring Peter Mullan, Olivia Colman, Paul Popplewell, William Ruane · 2007
Joseph, a man consumed by rage and drink, is spiralling towards self-destruction. When he stumbles into a charity shop, a gentle, devout shop worker offers him a kindness he hardly knows how to accept.
Peter Mullan and Olivia Colman are extraordinary in Paddy Considine's raw, BAFTA-winning portrait of fury and fragile grace.
A man on a violent path of self-destruction may have found a glimmer of redemption in the compassion of charity-shop worker Anita.
