Fleeing the Warsaw Uprising, a young Polish partisan hides in the grounds of a country manor, only to be chased up a tree by a huge wolfhound while his rifle lies out of reach.

A tense, painterly survival standoff that wrings real suspense from one man, one tree and one very large dog.
