Dark Humor Animation about grief

Directed by Lucija Mrzljak, Morten Tsinakov · Starring Lucija Mrzljak, Kaspar Jancis, Drasko Ivezic · 2022

Rain lashes down on a funeral where the tears and the wine flow too freely, woodpeckers turn up and dreams fill in the gaps, in this absurd look at grief.

An Oscar-shortlisted Estonian animation that finds strange, dark laughter in the middle of grief.

It’s pouring down with rain at the funeral. There’s a lot of crying, too much wine, several woodpeckers and a couple of dreams that fill in the gaps.
