FOR HIRE! – BANGALORE RICKSHAW

A hand-drawn animated portrait of Bangalore's auto-rickshaws and their drivers, braving the city's monstrous traffic, seen through the eyes of a European visitor.

Lively hand-drawn animation that captures the chaos and charm of a Bangalore rickshaw ride.

Green, yellow, black. They are the blood in the veins of Bangalore: the 450.000 rickshaws and their drivers. Knocked together from bits and pieces, decorated, ready for the junk heap or carefully maintained like antique
