Game Hawker

Directed by Joshua Izenberg, Brett Marty · Starring Shawn Hayes · 2022

Falconer Shawn Hayes devotes his life to the ancient art of hunting with raptors and carves out a place in a pursuit where people of color have rarely been welcomed.

Breathtaking falcon flights meet a quietly powerful portrait of one man's devotion and belonging.

For Shawn Hayes, the ancient practice of falconry is more than a deep connection with raptors. It’s his life’s work, carving a place for himself where people of color haven’t always been welcome.
