Have You Eaten?

Directed by Christina Xing · Starring Lee Chen, Christina Xing · 2023

A traditional Chinese mother and her American-born daughter talk on the phone, each hiding the truth to keep up the appearance of having made it.

A tender, deeply personal look at the loving lies immigrant families tell to protect each other's pride.

I made this film back in 2020 and never shared it on Youtube, it was quite a difficult story for me to finish as it was so personal, but I'm so proud to share it now.
