Kosmonauta

Directed by Nils Eilif Bremdal-Vinell, Mirjam Veske · Starring Admir Basic, Emma Damskau, Alexander Armas Kereklidis Turpin · 2014

A visualization of an audio clip said to have been intercepted on a Soviet space frequency in 1962, in which a female cosmonaut is heard in distress: the recording behind the legend of a lost first woman in space.

Built around an eerie archival recording, it places you inside the capsule of a cosmonaut history may have erased.

Kosmonauta is a visualization of an actual sound clip from a female cosmonaut in distress. The signal was picked up on a soviet space frequency in 1962 and gave rise to the theory of the (lost) first female cosmonaut.
