Le Printemps / The Spring

Directed by Jérôme Boulbès · Starring Tokiko Ihara, Reiko Imanishi, Nehito Ishida, Didier Malherbe · 2012

In a forest sanctuary, masked figures gather for a ceremony celebrating spring, and a caged victim is brought before them as the music begins.

A hypnotic, unsettling dance ritual animated from real choreography through motion capture.

A sanctuary in the depths of the forest. Masks are waiting and getting ready. Music begins... A cage is brought. Inside, attached, is the victim. The ceremony can begin : a joyful celebration of spring.
