Meal
With Adil Hussain, from Life of Pi
Directed by Abhiroop Basu · Starring Ratnabali Bhattacharjee, Adil Hussain, Abhishek Jain, Arun Mukhopadhyay · 2020
Amid communal tension stoked by rival political factions, a dysfunctional family sits down for its usual morning meal, in a wordless story about one household and every household.
A wordless, unnerving allegory of India's communal divides, anchored by Adil Hussain's quietly powerful presence.
Next up on our new weekly series Sunday Showcase is a short film called Meal.
