Monkey Nut Tales
Directed by Jo Ho · Starring Pik Sen Lim, Charlotte Nguyen, Clare Perkins · 2007
When her mother is hospitalised, a young girl must live with her estranged grandmother, who can only reach her through fantastical stories.
Live action and hand-drawn animation blend beautifully in a tender tale of grief and grandmotherly storytelling.
A short film written and directed by Jo Ho (2007)
