Natives

Directed by Jeremy Hersh · Starring Kendra Mylnechuk, Emily Young · 2013

A white Jewish woman joins her Native American girlfriend on a visit to her parents' home, but her eager efforts to bond with the family keep backfiring in increasingly awkward ways.

A cringe-funny, sharply observed meet-the-parents comedy about good intentions, cultural blind spots and trying way too hard.

From SXSW 2013. A white jewish girl joins her native American girlfriend on a visit to her parent's place. Her attempts at family bonding go terribly wrong.
