Nutag - Homeland
Directed by Alisi Telengut · 2016
Hand-painted images flow and morph to evoke the mass deportation of the Kalmyk people during World War II and the longing for a lost homeland.
Painterly, hypnotic animation that turns a forgotten historical tragedy into a haunting visual poem.
