Ostrich Theory (2020)

Directed by Simon Ellis · 2020

Busy documentary street scenes are painstakingly rearranged frame by frame until people vanish, foreshadowing a world about to empty out.

Three years of meticulous rotoscoping turn ordinary crowds into an eerie premonition of lockdown.

Something is coming. A pre-pandemic harbinger of indifference to troubled times, digitally depopulating and re-orchestrating documentary footage frame-by-frame before lockdowns became reality.
