Other Worlds
From the director of Your Name.
Directed by Makoto Shinkai · 1999
Makoto Shinkai's early visual poem, a fleeting meditation on longing and distant worlds set to Satie's Gymnopédie No. 1.
A rare glimpse of the very first steps of the director of Your Name.
This is Makoto Shinkai's 1998 cinematic short, Other Worlds. It plays like a short visual poem, and was previously available for free download directly from Shinkai's personal website.
