Something Happened That Summer… No One Talks About It

Like every summer, young Louise stays with her grandparents in the countryside: swimming, fishing, grandma's strawberry pies. But this year, snow will fall in the middle of summer, and a monster will die.

Soft, painterly animation conceals a devastating story told through silence, an Oscar-nominated masterclass in restraint.

Beneath a quiet summer lies something unspoken, something that lingers long after childhood.
