Raised By Krump

Directed by Maceo Frost · 2016

Dancers from Compton and South Central Los Angeles reveal how krump, the raw and explosive dance movement born in their neighborhoods, has helped them channel their emotions and shape their lives.

Gorgeously shot and fiercely emotional, it shows how an explosive street dance became a lifeline for a community.

“Raised by Krump” explores the LA-born dance movement “krumping,” and how the dance has helped the lives of some of the area’s most influential dancers.
