Animated short film about war and hope for peace

Directed by Mette Tange · 2020

In a border region scarred by World War I, a tree that is still standing becomes a quiet witness to the past and to the reunification that follows.

A poetic, beautifully crafted reflection on war, borders and the slow work of healing.

The tree is still standing. Roots enclosing the past. Branches reaching out for the future in the border region. A film about the reunification after World War I.
