Slow Derek

Directed by Daniel Ojari · 2012

Derek, an ordinary office worker, becomes unsettled by the true speed at which planet Earth is spinning, and his struggle to cope turns into a quietly epic, surreal odyssey.

A deadpan, beautifully handmade stop-motion that turns the Earth's rotation into a wry existential crisis for an office worker.

The epic and spellbinding tale of Derek, an office worker, as he struggles with the true speed of planet Earth. Director Dan Ojari's RCA thesis film and a Sundance 2012 selection.
