Subservience

Directed by Patrick Bouchard · 2007

A grotesque puppet show stages the tragicomedy of a decaying society, built on bourgeois selfishness and the passivity of those who serve it.

A darkly inventive NFB puppet film that skewers class and complacency with grotesque imagery.

In this animated short, bourgeois selfishness and the passivity of its servants take centre stage as a puppet show presents the tragicomedy of a society in its death throes.
