THE BIG SNIT

Directed by Richard Condie · Starring Jay Brazeau, Ida Osler, Randy Woods, Bill Guest · 1985

As a husband and wife's game of Scrabble descends into a petty domestic spat, the evening news reports a far bigger conflict brewing in the world outside.

Richard Condie's gloriously weird, Oscar-nominated cartoon sets a marital squabble against nuclear war, and it's as warm as it is absurd.

Oscar® Nominee, Best Short Film (Animated), 1985
