The Birdman
Directed by Jessie Auritt · 2013
Inside Rainbow Music, an East Village shop stacked to the ceiling with CDs, VHS tapes and cassettes, its eccentric owner, known as The Birdman, holds out against a changing neighbourhood and a vanishing trade.
A Slamdance-winning portrait of a gloriously cranky New York original fighting to keep his cluttered music shop alive.
