The Fall of the House of Usher (1980)
Poe's tale of a doomed family and their crumbling mansion, told without human actors through animated clay, wood, stone and decaying objects.
Švankmajer turns Poe's gothic classic into a hypnotic, unsettling dance of living matter.
surrealist film by Jan Svankmajer, based on the story by Edgar Allen Poe
