The Head Vanishes

Directed by Franck Dion · 2016

Her mind slipping away, an elderly woman insists on taking the train to the seaside as she does every summer, despite a stranger who seems intent on following her.

A tender, quietly surreal portrait of dementia that lets you feel what it is like to lose your bearings.

Animator Franck Dion (Edmond was a Donkey) returns to Short of the Week with this poetic tale of an elderly woman living with degenerative dementia
