The High Five

Directed by Mike Jacobs · 2014

On October 2, 1977, Dodgers rookie Glenn Burke greeted Dusty Baker at home plate with what became sport's first recorded high five, the start of an unlikely story about baseball, fame and sexuality.

A fun bit of sports trivia that opens onto the moving, overlooked story of a gay baseball pioneer.

An ESPN 30 for 30 short directed by Michael Jacobs.
