TIE Fighter
Directed by Paul Johnson · 2015
Imperial TIE pilots fly into a desperate space battle against the Rebellion, rendered as a lovingly detailed 1980s-style anime.
A one-man, four-year labour of love that nails the look of 80s anime in a breathless Star Wars dogfight.
What if there was an Empire-focussed short Star Wars animation, drawn with the crazy detail and shading of classic 80s anime that's all but vanished from Japan nowadays?
