WALK WITH ME

Directed by Tukei Muhumuza, Johan Oettinger · Starring Lillian Kateba, Melanie Kemigisa · 2013

In rural Uganda, a young girl dreams of becoming a ballerina, a nearly impossible ambition, in a film blending puppet animation with live action.

A striking hybrid of stop-motion and live action about a dream against all odds.

This complex, sometimes dark short film by Johan Oettinger and Peter Tukei Muhumuza skilfully combines animation and feature film techniques. The two directors were brought together as part of the Copenhagen documentary
