Afghanistan – touch down in flight

Directed by Lukas Augustin · 2011

Filmed in Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif, this short portrait sets aside images of soldiers and explosions to capture ordinary Afghans going about their daily lives.

An award-winning glimpse of Afghanistan beyond the headlines, gently reframing a country most of us only know through war footage.
