Ask Me Anything

Directed by Wyneke van Nieuwenhuyzen · Starring Abdulaal Hussein · 2025

A Sudanese refugee travels the Netherlands hosting 'ask me anything' sessions, and the conversations leave both him and his Dutch audiences facing what it means to be 'the other'.

A simple, disarming premise turns questions between strangers into an honest look at prejudice and curiosity.

Abdulaal, originally from Sudan, travels around the Netherlands to give ‘ask me anything’ sessions. The film captures the exploratory dialogue between the natives and the refugee, both confronted with being ‘the other’.
