Places Other People Have Lived

Directed by Laura Yilmaz · 2011

As her family sells the house she grew up in, an animator explores how memory clings to places, weaving her family's voices into an intimate animated meditation on home.

A gentle, finely observed animated reflection on why leaving a childhood home can feel like losing a piece of yourself.
